The Adat Ari El Rose Engel Early Childhood Center prides itself on being a busy and active school for our children. An integral part of maintaining the high quality of our program is your active involvement. Parent participation benefits you, your child, and our entire community, and it enables you to be an influential part of your child’s school experience.
There are opportunities for everyone—on weekdays or weekends, at school or from home, nights or days, 1 hour or 100. And there are many different ways to help—from face painting at the Purim Carnival to setting the Thanksgiving Feast tables, from tending the ECC garden to organizing the Graduation celebration at the end of the year. All of the children benefit from your involvement.
The ECC Governing Board meets monthly throughout the year and helps to sets policies and evaluates the Center’s program in conjunction with the ECC Director. They lend valuable assistance and support to the Director and the Synagogue as a whole. In addition, the Governing Board members oversee the Saturday morning Tot Shabbat services, organize holiday and special events throughout the year, arrange parent workshops, and hold fund-raising events to provide scholarships, etc.
The Parent Association acts as a forum for parents of ECC students to meet and discuss ECC events and issues. Each classroom has a Room Representatives, who provides an important link between the Parent Association and the classroom families. It is our goal to enable parents to be engaged contributors in their child's education.
